May 26 2017

Chennai-based shipmanagement company, Synergy, has taken over the management of the newly delivered LPG carrier ‘Trammo Dietlin’, the first vessel to be certified to AL-SAFE class notation from Lloyd’s Register (LR).

Capt. Rajesh Unni, CEO of Synergy Group, said: “This is another significant milestone in Synergy’s continuing expansion into more specialist market segments.”

The Singapore-flagged LPG carrier ‘Trammo Dietlin’ owned by Global United Gas Carriers, is certified to AL-2 for its navigational, cargo & machinery systems, which means the system provides on & off ship decision support.

It is also certified to AL-3 for certain point specific application, which denotes a remote control capability with an active human in the loop.

The systems were installed by Alpha Ori Technology Holdings of Singapore – a technology company involved in developing SMARTShip solutions using IoT solutions together with data analytics.
