Spire and AXSMarine join to create greater Accuracy in maritime intelligence

Spire Maritime, a satellite AIS data analytics company, and AXSMarine have signed a partnership agreement to create what they claim will be a new level of accuracy in maritime intelligence for chartering and commodity markets.

For the past 18 years AXSMarine solutions has provided technology to monitor chartering activity in the tanker markets, pus others. With the addition of Spire’s AIS data, AXSMarine will now offer greater support to chartering solutions and trade flows modules for micro and macro analysis of both ships and commodity movements.


“We are delighted to further enrich our comprehensive package of AIS derived maritime intelligence, with the addition of the satellite AIS data feed by Spire,” said Jacques Goudchaux, AXSMarine CEO. “Their fast-growing and promising constellation of nano satellites will add value to the over 10,000 individual users, relying our analytical and chartering solutions on a daily basis to support a fair number of strategic decisions.”


In addition to the predictive data available today, users can expect features that detect vessel ownership and provide historical data on vessel usage or cargo patterns.


Spire Maritime is a newly created division of space data analytics firm, Spire Global. The company behind developing the world's largest Earth observation constellation of satellites for advanced weather data, maritime analytics, and aircraft tracking.
