OnlineSTS.net has gained three more companies for its OSIS database.

OnlineSTS.net has gained three more companies for its OSIS database.

These are Medcare Shipping, Almi Tankers, both based in Greece and Western Shipping from Singapore.

The growing fleet of vessels participating in owner Dynamarine’s screening and risk assessment service is promising for the volume and quality of statistics needed for Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations, the company said.

The risk analysis undertaken has the potential of producing unique vessel performance KPI’s for STS operations, as well as statistics associated with the STS locations and individual shipowners and vessel operational risk factors.

Currently there are STS KPI’s available for more than 250 different shipmanagement companies worldwide and their fleets, although only 18 companies participate in the screening and risk assessment service, onlineSTS.net said.

In addition, STS service providers can now participate in the OSIS database. Currently, one company has joined and will use the system for self-assessment procedures, as per latest OCIMF guidelines.
