Aframax tanker disabled by fire, anchored, Java sea

Fire erupted in engine room of Aframax tanker SEABORNE PETRO then tanker drifted dead ahead until she anchored north of Ciwandan, Java.

Fire erupted in engine room of Aframax tanker SEABORNE PETRO at around 2000 LT (UTC +7) Sep 15, some 9 nm SW of tanker’s destination, Cinta Oil Terminal, Java sea, NW of Jakarta. Tanker drifted or moved dead ahead until 1830 LT Sep 16, when she anchored 18 nm north of Ciwandan, Java, Sunda Strait.
