Ballast water "could be responsible for coral disease"

Scientists investigating a new coral disease infecting reefs from Florida to and throughout the Caribbean think ship ballast water may be to blame, according to South Florida public news service WLRN.

Investigators are looking at shipping records to confirm the connection and better contain it.
