Cyber dashboard provides common view

ABS Advanced Solutions (ABS) has announced a partnership with SecurityGate.

This move integrates the ABS proprietary FCI Cyber Risk methodology into the SecurityGate SaaS platform.

The resulting dashboard provides an instant shared view, illustrating the degree of cyber risk across assets, operations and critical suppliers, the class society claimed.

“ABS is the global leader in marine and offshore cyber security. This partnership with SecurityGate takes us to the next level,” said Christopher Wiernicki, ABS chairman, president and CEO. “No other solution makes it so straightforward for operators and owners to gain such a deep understanding of their cyber risk and the steps they can take to improve it.”

In addition, the SecurityGate software helps pinpoint unique remediation efforts to effectively showcase the return on investment of cyber risk mitigation strategies over time.

”The SecurityGate team is excited to support ABS in scaling their unique FCI risk methodology to help maritime clients operate safely. We’re looking forward to a great year of continued teamwork,” said Cherise Esparza, SecurityGate CTO.

“The new dashboard solution allows ABS to deliver the FCI Cyber Risk methodology more efficiently than ever before, providing clients with a comprehensive view into cyber risk management across their entire fleet over time,” said ABS advanced solutions vice president, Russ Medeiros.

The methodology was developed following a two-year research contract with the Maritime Security Centre—a US Department of Homeland Security Centre of Excellence—led by Stevens Institute of Technology and including the US Department of Defence.
