London broking house, Howe Robinson Partners (UK), has joined the Management Committee of the London Worldscale Association and has also become a member of the London Tanker Brokers’ Panel (LTBP).

The Management Committee’s role is to guide the London and New York associations in the production and distribution of the annual Worldscale publication and ensure it remains a relevant tool in oil and product tankers chartering.

Today around 80% of tankers fixed on the spot market are agreed using a Worldscale percentage.

It also publishes monthly average freight rate assessments (AFRA), which are available by subscription.

The Panel now consists of, Clarksons Platou, Galbraith’s, Gibson Shipbrokers, Simpson Spence Young, Braemar ACM Shipbroking and Howe Robinson Partners.
