IPTA/Navigate’s conference shapes up

Eco-ships, bunker quality, environmental regulations, freight markets and ship markets are all on the agenda at this year's IPTA/Navigate Chemical & Product Tanker Conference.

The vent is due to take place in London on 11th and 12th March.

Highlights of the programme include Ardmore Shipping’s Mark Cameron talking about eco-tankers, DNV-GL speaking on methanol as an alternative marine fuel, Jeff McGee analysing the product tanker market and Eddy van Bouwel of IPIECA on low sulphur fuel supply post 2015.

The conference will be opened by IMO secretary general Koji Sekimizu.

On 10th March, an afternoon forum will be held in conjunction with IBIA on bunker fuel quality while a post-conference workshop will be held on the impact of shale gas on trading patterns and vessel types.
