Skuld has appointed Hilde Søbstad Løvskar as chief legal officer (CLO).

Løvskar now heads the corporate legal department and also joined Skuld's executive management team.

Løvskar started her career in Skuld as an intern in June, 2009. She became a maritime trainee and participated in the Norwegian Shipowners' Association's trainee programme.

Since 2012, she has been corporate legal counsel. In this role, she has also been the company secretary and worked closely with management and Skuld's board.

Effective 12th March, Hiroaki Sakashita has become senior executive vice president, as well as executive director of ClassNK.

Sakashita began his career at Japan’s Ministry of Transport (now Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) in 1980.

During his period at the government organisation, he has been involved in maritime administration, including regulatory oversight and industry development.

He assumed the position of director general of the Maritime Bureau in 2015, and Deputy Minister for Technical Affairs, Minister’s Secretariat in 2016.

Sakashita joined ClassNK in 2018 as executive consultant and has been appointed to his current position to oversee ClassNK’s expansion of its business portfolio and digital transformation.
