MOL Chemical Tankers and Den Hartogh team up

Singapore-based MOL Chemical Tankers (MOLCT) and Den Hartogh Logistics of the Netherlands have announced a strategic alliance.

The aim of this alliance is to to jointly develop and streamline liquid chemical logistics services using tank containers, parcel chemical tankers and a tank terminal, the company said.

Den Hartogh Logistics operates over 19,000 tank containers transporting liquid chemicals and gasses, inter-continental, intra-regional and domestic while also handling 7.000 containers for the polymer and food industry. MOL Chemical Tankers operates more than 80 parcel chemical tankers, including those operated by the newly acquired MOL Nordic Tankers.

MOLCT said it had formed the joint venture company to construct and operate a chemical tank terminal in Antwerp, Belgium.

This strategic alliance is ratified by MOL Chemical Tankers acquiring 20% of the issued shares of Den Hartogh Logistics’ holding company from the current sole shareholder Den Hartogh Beheer.
