OM signs newbuilding contracts for 2 x 13,800 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers for 2026 delivery

The vessels will be delivered from 2026

OM has signed contracts for new buildings with Jiangxi New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd. for 2 x 13,800-DWT stainless steel chemical tankers featuring 12 duplex stainless steel cargo tanks. 
 
This marks a significant milestone as they make the transition from operating older ships to a modern fleet under the lead of CEO, Capt Subhangshu Dutt. These high performance chemical tankers will meet the highest emission standards, are fuel-efficient and have an eco-friendly design, which will enhance operational efficiency and to provide sustainable, efficient and reliable service to clients.
 
The vessels will be delivered in Q4 2026 onwards
