SafeSTS strengthens South America operations

Jul 21 2017

Having operated in South America since 2012, SafeSTS has strengthened its position in the region by continuing to work together with Service Management on ship-to-ship (STS) transfer operations in Argentina and Uruguay.

Since its establishment in 2001, Service Management has maintained an important position in the maritime and inland waterway transfer operations involving crude oil and products.

Operations are carried out in accordance with international standards, and are utilised by oil majors and large traders who see the benefits of using MARPOL compliant Mooring Masters with local knowledge and ISO certified equipment.

Both companies have considerable experience in the STS transfer market, and the joint strength and experience in Argentina and Uruguay benefits clients with safe and efficient operations, the company claimed.

"Ship-to-ship transfer is a delicately balanced operation, requiring a complex and unique set of skills," explained Yvonne Mason, SafeSTS managing director. "Both SafeSTS and Service Management have a wealth of experience in the ship-to-ship transfer market, and our joint strengths and experience in Argentina and Uruguay bring the benefits of safety and efficiency to our growing client base in these two rapidly growing countries."
