SKF has signed an agreement with Palumbo Shipyards, a major shiprepair organisation, based in the Mediterranean.

The services provided by SKF include mounting, chocking and on-site machining, alignment services and vibration measurements, as well as geometric and strain gauge alignment measurements.

“We are very pleased to start this collaboration with Palumbo Shipyards with the signing of this contract. SKF recognizes the importance of being a partner to its customers within its territory. On the other hand, this agreement will also serve SKF’s commitment to ensure local presence in all territories where the SKF Group wants to be present with its products and services,” said Rania Patsiopoulos, Managing Director, SKF Hellas.

“We are glad to have signed an agreement with an important partner, such as SKF, which is a leader in its segment. By working together we can provide a time efficient and valuable service to shipowners. Considering that we have worked with SKF for many years we are confident that this co-operation will be successful and we also plan to initiate the same collaboration with Group’s yards in the near future,” said Andrea Sabbion, Sales Manager Commercial Ships Department, Palumbo Shipyards.
