He is to retire as CFO after more than 40 years of service with the company.
SNL’s directors received approval at the company's AGM in April, 2017 to fill one Board vacancy. With the addition of Engelhardtsen as a director, the SNL Board now has seven members, four of which are independent.
Niels Stolt-Nielsen, SNL CEO, said, "I want to thank Jan for his years of dedicated service to the company and for the support he has given me. As a key member of the management team, he has been a great contributor to the success of our businesses. I am delighted that he is joining our Board, where we will continue to benefit from his experience and insights."
His replacement as CFO is Jens Grüner-Hegge who takes on the role on 2nd April, 2018.
He was previously vice president, corporate finance since 2007.
Stolt-Nielsen explained, "Having worked in our corporate finance division since 2007, and given his extensive experience with Stolt Tankers and knowledge of the Group, Jens comes well prepared for his new position as CFO."
