OOTO has invested $2.5 mill to connect an additional jetty to all its clean petroleum product (CPP) pipelines and to interconnect with all the other jetties.
This new pipeline infrastructure is set to greatly reduce and optimise the turnaround time of vessels. Furthermore, it will allow the terminal to undertake more operations at the same time, with safety and product integrity remaining a paramount factor, Odfjell said
The jetties can accommodate LRs, as well as allowing ship-to-ship-operations between the vessels.
Following only three months of work to connect all the equipment and to fit a new marine loading arm for gasoline-related products, the additional installations entered into service mid-February, 2014.
OOTO is a joint venture between Oiltanking Odfjell Oman (70%), Oman Oil Co (25%) and a private investment company with 5%.
The terminal has a capacity of almost 1.3 mill cu m and has six deepwater berths.
