Tank gauging interactive tool launched

Aug 22 2014

A new interactive tank gauging assessment tool, called microsite, has been launched by marine instrumentation specialist PSM.

Via a full-length ship diagram with clickable hotspots and detailed product illustrations, users can browse all uses of marine tank gauging instruments and the monitoring needs that exist across a typical vessel. Detailed information can then be accessed on specific products to solve a particular application need.

PSM’s TankWatch range of transmitters, gauges, switches and display software are type approved, quality certified and are compatible with fuel oil, lubricants, hydraulic fluid and bilge or ballast water. Suitable for vessels of all sizes and classes, they are claimed to be simple to specify and install, providing substantial cost savings during ship's construction, or repair.

“With tank gauging such a vital part of a ship’s operation and safety we wanted to help customers to better assess the need, typical location and options available in this area,” said Mark Jones, PSM sales director. “Our new interactive microsite gives visitors the whole picture at a glance and allows them either to zone in on areas of specific interest, or get a general overview on how we can assist with their tank gauging needs.”
