Sardashti takes over at NITC

Mar 09 2018

According to reports from Tehran, Nasrollah Sardashti has been appointed managing director of NITC.

Sardashti, who was previously NITC’s director for commercial affairs, replaces Sirous Kianersi, who has been managing director since October, 2016.

A company official confirmed the news to S&P Global Platts earlier this week.

Platts said that Sardashti, a popular figure in the tanker industry for his strong opinion and views, was one of the key people instrumental in piloting NITC through difficult times when Iran was under an EU and US embargo on imports of Iranian crude oil.
