Nordic American Tankers Ltd sale of 2002 built Suezmax

Feb 07 2022

Following Nordic American Tankers’ (NAT) announcement on July 28, 2021 referring to a program to adjust their fleet, they have now sold one more Suezmax under the program.

The 2002 built “Nordic Mistral” has been sold. This transaction is fixed and firm. The vessel is planned for delivery to the new owner later in February. A price of about $30 million has been achieved in total for these two vessels, reflecting their quality and strengthening NAT.

This is the second sale in the last few months; they announced the sale of “Nordic Sirius” (2000 built) on October 6, 2021.

Nordic American Tankers now controls a fleet of 23 Suezmaxes – including 2 newbuildings for delivery in May and June this year.
