Tanker stranded in Bosphorous with mechanical problem

An unloaded Greek flagged tanker was stranded in the Bosphorous due to a 'mechanical problem' on Sunday Apr 12, according to reports in Turkish news service Daily Sabah.

She was taken to a safe area by vessels of the coastal safety directorate. The tanker was anchored off Yesilköy coast.

The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) will have to wait longer to get its consignment of three lakh metric tonnes of crude oil from the blaze-hit Panamanian oil tanker MT New Diamond as the vessel is being towed to Fujairah port for repairs.
