Netherlands - Prohibition on degassing for inland tankers while sailing

What changes?

Do you work in inland shipping? There will be a national prohibition for inland tankers on degassing while sailing. Inland tankers often release harmful vapours from cargo residue into the open air in order to clean the ship. As this is harmful to your staff and the environment this will be forbidden.

It is not yet known when this change in regulation will come into effect.
